The
Church was built in the first half of 12th century and has a particular
characteristic:
the entrance is situated on the long side and not as usual on the short one;
because of the landscape which is so rebel that it is likely to dictate the
rules.
The building is made of stone; and there are 2 particularly interesting
elements: the
bell tower and the apse. The first one is rich in blind arches, pilasters and
mullioned windows;
the second one, framed by arches made of stone blocks under which there
are two one-light windows. Each one is divided in two parts by a little column. The
center of Sarigo is extremely characteristic and nice and it is worth to visit.
