 From
Luino with the car follow Dumenza and then Curiglia. In
Curiglia follow Monteviasco. By Piero find you an useful
parking for the car. There begin the path to Monteviasco,
a beautiful village with 18 inhabitants, without road
connection with other places. A stairway of about 2.000
steps leads to the village, where you can also eat by one
of the restaurants (to taste: boar with
"polenta").  From Monteviasco a beautiful
panorama to the Val Dumentina till the Lake. For the lazy
people: a 5 minutes cable railway brings you from Piero to
Monteviasco, but it's not so fine as the wood path. The
village position is excellent (South facing) to pass the
afternoon to bask in the sun.
