CASTELLO di FRASCAROLO

Frascarolo's castle is prominently situated on the slopes of "Campo dei Fiori", between two valleys, that of Ganna and that of Ceresio.
It is also known as the "Medici" after the illustrious family, who are still the present day owners. For that reason the property is not open to the public: however a good idea of the fascination of this castle can be obtained also from outside.
With its massive walls, magnificent fifteenth century tower, Bugnate portal, and balconied courtyard, had a part added in the sixteenth century when it became a stately residence. The ample drive and stretches of lawn are signs of bygone times.
