The sporting activities are many and can be practised in the luxurant nature of our lakes which offer many resources to those who wish to spend some time here. The lake with its mild climate is the protagonist, or the alluring scenography of yours holidays, offering pleasant contact with nature.
Saling: in the silence of water, slightly ruffled by the breeze, several levels of sport satify the most diverse needs; they range from agonistics to competitive boat races. 
Good instruction are training the future champions and the amateurs too. The water-skiing on the lake Maggiore has its champions and now it is at the center of a lively activity, both of practice and teaching, while international athlets are training at the Federal Center of Canoe. This kind of activity can be easly practised on the lake. You can row in the splendid setting of our mountains, absorbed in the nature made of silence and reflection.
The tourism in the lake is old but also its modernity derives from some new sport such as windsurf: a perfet exposure to the air, a quiet water and the wide spaces attract many young windsurfers. 
Not only water, but air and new sports such as hang-glider and "parapendio". The acient dream of man is so realized: take run,  make a leap from the slope and the lake and go ... free as a bird.
On the other hand, our lake offer another activity that can be practised on the hills, in touch with nature, that is golf: we have well-know equipped courses that satify the needs of its lovers.
