The Sempione (Simplon) State road, SS 33 go along the west shore of the Lake from Sesto Calende to Gravellona Toce. There the road turns to the left along the Toce river. Another road go along the shore, the SS 34, to the Switzerland.
The Lombard shore, of minor importance, have State roads too: the first, from Sesto Calende to Luino, the second from Luino to the Switzerland.
