The
territory of Ispra is modulated by the presence of hills,
going down to the lake. Their steep and rocky peaks are
marked by the traces of antique lime kilns: characteristic
buildings made up of stone, which are worth visiting.  This
village also, of antique origins, had a lifestyle in common
with the feudo of Angera, for example: the fenced castle of
San Cristoforo. Today Ispra is known to be the seat of the Joint Research Centre (Euratom).
You don't have to forget that the
tourist activity is active; the proof is the presence of villas and
residences surrounded by parks.
