In a vast hall of the museum are gathered some findings of
Golasecca civilization, from bright to translucent pieces, fibula in iron and bronze. In the museum you can find tracks of this civilization (1st period from 800 to 600 b. C. - 2nd one from 600 to 450 b. C.). These findings of several technical instruments and little objects show the profile of these people: peaceful, dedicated exclusively to help and exchange of goods proceeding from crops and agriculture, and elaborate animal and vegetal fibre for domestic usage. Beyond their taste for clothes, they are rich in accessories and particulars, you can find characteristic bronze objects, design proceed to Etruscan period, but is newly interpreted under a local vision.
In Lombardy with the term "Golasecca culture" we mean all the 1st iron period that represents the 1st developed form of artisan civilization with its characteristic objects belonging to historical societies, like the specialized employment of the different materials used to create different items and setting the territory for human needs. Golasecca was a big society politically and economically organized among the rivers Sesia and Adda, with great settlements moreover on the lake Maggiore and Como.
