Mountain-Bike
The
Verbano Cusio Ossola is full of colors, magic and lacustrine
atmospheres and sudden
contrasts between the green meadows and the white snow on the
glaciers...
There
are a lot of routes to find out these landscapes and you can go on
foot, you can ride a mountain bike, or simply you can use the so
called “palmerina”.
The
tour on the lakes, the excavated earth along the river Toce, the
Bosco Tenso
 aoasis,
and the Forndotoce reserve... if you prefer more difficult paths,
you can take the cableway to Mottarone and then choose the descent
you prefer.
Excursions
are possible on every mountain of this area, and thereare a lot of
cultural itineraries, for example in Ticino Park, tgrought rich
flora and fauna, and a lot of archaelogical evidence. There are
many places where you can hire a bike, in Stresa (mountain bike
BICICO’) and in Santa Maria Maggiore too. A centre for the
bikers’athletic valutation and personal trainings’ programme
is present in the gym “Associazione Sportiva 3^C” in
Villadossola, and here, (with the collaboration of the cyclist
Marco Della Vedova) weekend routes especially for women and
childern are organized.
