The periods of no fishing are decided each year and affixed on the
 municipal notice board. There are some restrictions concerning the equipment that should be usrd, and the fishes' minimal lenght. L'esercizio della pesca nelle
acque dei laghi della provincia di Varese è subordinato al
possesso dell'apposita licenza regionale, rilasciata 
dall'Amministrazione Provinciale (Servizio Agricoltura Caccia e
Pesca - via Campigli, 5 - Varese - Tel. 0332.312.660) con le
seguenti modalità: domanda su apposita scheda rilasciata presso
il Servizio Agricoltura, Caccia e Pesca o presso il Comune di
Residenza (se nella provincia di Varese); versamento annuale tassa
di concessione alla Regione Lombardia; versamento
all'Amministrazione Provinciale di Varese; 2 foto-tessera; 2
marche da bollo da € 5.16 ; certificazione di residenza; codice
fiscale. La licenza ha una durata di 6 anni.
La pesca delle diverse specie ittiche è regolamentata da speciali
disposizioni regionali riguardanti i periodi dell'anno in cui è
concessa, gli orari e i mezzi di pesca consentiti e le lunghezze
minime dei pesci.
